Buffalo Chicken Pizza

Buffalo chicken pizza is one of our favorite pizzas! Our annual Super Bowl tradition would not be complete without this buffalo chicken pizza. The ranch base and the creamy heat from the buffalo wing sauce are a heavenly match! Whether you're big on game day or not, this pizza is a must try!

Pizza Dough

You will need a batch of your favorite pizza dough, use store-bought pizza dough or even use naan as your pizza dough.

This recipe uses shredded chicken breast. You can prepare some chicken breast and shred for this pizza, use some leftover chicken that you have or even shred some rotesserie chicken.

This recipe uses homestlye ranch dressing for the base rather than a traditional pizza sauce. I prefer Renees homestyle ranch because it has a thicker consistency for spreading on the pizza dough and it's packed with flavour. The chicken is also mixed with Buffalo wing sauce so you get that creamy heat with every bite!

Buffalo Chicken Pizza

1 batch of pizza dough

2 chicken breasts, cooked & shredded

1/2 red onion, thinly sliced

1/2 cup buffalo wing sauce*

4 tbsp homestyle Ranch dressing

1 cup tex-mex shredded cheese

cilantro & green onions for garnish

* Adjust quantity to heat preference.

  1. Prepare and shred chicken breast in a large bowl and set aside.

  2. Slice red onions and add to the chicken.

  3. Toss together and microwave for 1 min. This helps the onions soften a little before baking.

  4. Top the chicken & onions with buffalo wing sauce and mix well.

  5. Pre-heat oven to 350°F

  6. Prepare and roll pizza dough. Place dough on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.

  7. Spread Ranch dressing as the base of your pizza

  8. Top generously with the chicken buffalo mix

  9. Top with tex-mex shredded cheese

  10. Bake Pizza for 30-35 mins or until the dough is golden.

  11. Remove and let rest for 5 mins.

  12. Garnish with green onions and chopped cilantro. Slice to serve. You can serve with additional buffalo wingo sauce and ranch dressing for dipping.
